|Flour||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Sugar||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Milk||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Eggs||4 , separated|
|Icing sugar||1 Teaspoon|
Mix flour, sugar and salt in saucepan.
Slowly stir in milk.
Cook and stir over medium heat until mixture boils and is thickened.
Stir in butter.
Beat egg whites until very stiff.
Beat egg yolks until thick and lemon-colored.
Fold in sauce mixture.
Fold into egg whites and vanilla.
Pour into 1 1/2 quart casserole.
Bake in a 425° F.oven for 25 minutes or until well browned, using lower shelf of oven.
Sprinkle icing sugar on top.
