Tuna & Mozzarella melt
|Onion||1 Medium, chopped|
|Flour||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Milk||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
|Processed gruyere cheese||6 Ounce, shredded (1 Package)|
|Canned tuna||14 Ounce, drained, flaked (2 Cans, 7 Ounce Each)|
|Frozen chopped spinach||20 Ounce, thawed and drained (2 Packages, 10 Ounce Each)|
|Fine dry bread crumbs||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Grated parmesan cheese||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
1. Melt butter or margarine in a medium-size saucepan; saute onion just until soft; stir in flour, salt and nutmeg; cook, stirring constantly, just until bubbly. Stir in milk; continue cooking and stirring until sauce thickens and bubbles 1 minute; remove from heat. Stir in shredded cheese, just until melted; add tuna.
2. Place spinach in the bottom of a lightly greased 6-cup baking dish; spoon tuna-cheese mixture over the top; top with crumbs and Parmesan cheese.
3. Bake in moderate oven (350°) 25 minutes, or until golden.
