Cranberries With Orange Cognac Sauce

This is both traditional and elegant. It does not hurt that it's simple to make too.
Ingredients
  Cranberries 12 Ounce
  Sugar 2 Cup (32 tbs)
  Orange 1 , zest only
  Cognac 1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)
Directions

. Rinse and drain the cranberries, discarding any bruised ones. Mix all the ingredients together very well in a bowl.
2. Pour the mixture into a baking dish
3. Bake uncovered for 1 hour 20 mins, stirring often to assure that all the sugar has dissolved.
4. Remove from oven and let cool completely.
5. Refrigerate overnight or up to 5 days
