|Onions||3 , cut in half|
|Shallots||2 , chopped|
|Garlic||1 Clove (5 gm), finley sliced|
|Water||250 Milliliter (1 Cup)|
|Dry white wine||60 Milliliter (1/4 Cup)|
|Beef stock||375 Milliliter (1 1/2 Cups)|
|Ground nutmeg||1⁄4 Teaspoon|
|Chopped chives||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
– In a stove-top casserole, melt butter and saute onions, shallots and garlic. Add water, wine and beef stock. Cover and bring to a boil. Cook over low heat for 30 minutes. Season with salt, pepper and nutmeg. Sprinkle with chives.
