Fresh Corn Au Gratin is an irresistible side dish which you would surely love to serve to your friends. Enjoy this delicious Fresh Corn Au Gratin; I am sure you would love to try this dish again-n-again.
  Butter/Margarine 1 Tablespoon, melted
  All purpose flour 1 Tablespoon
  Milk 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Shredded pasteurized process american cheese 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Fresh corn 3 Cup (48 tbs), cut from cob
  Ground nutmeg 1 Teaspoon
  Salt 1 Teaspoon
  Freshly ground black pepper 1 Dash
  Butter/Margarine 2 Tablespoon
  Soft bread crumbs 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)

Blend 1 tablespoon butter or margarine with flour; stir over medium heat until frothy.
Stir in milk.
Cook mixture to medium thickness, stirring constantly.
Add cheese, corn, nutmeg, salt and pepper.
Mix well.
Spoon into a buttered 1 quart casserole.
Melt remaining butter or margarine and mix with bread crumbs.
Sprinkle over casserole.
Bake at 350° for 35 to 40 minutes, or until crumbs are brown.
