Basic French Onion Soup

Ingredients
  Yellow onion 1⁄2 , peeled and sliced
  Butter 1 Tablespoon
  Dry sherry 1 Dash
  Grated parmesan cheese 3 Tablespoon
  Brown soup stock 1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs), boiling
  Salt To Taste
  French bread 2 , toasted
  Swiss cheese slice 1
Directions

Saute yellow onions in butter.
Place 2 tablespoons onions in a 12 ounce soup bowl, and add dry sherry and Parmesan or Romano cheese.
Add soup stock and salt to bowl.
