French Cabbage

Ingredients
  Cabbage head 1 Medium, quartered
  Chopped celery 3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)
  Green peppers 1 1⁄2 , chopped
  Garlic 4 Clove (20 gm), minced
  Melted butter/Margarine 2 Tablespoon
  Half and half 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Shredded cheddar cheese 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Buttered bread crumbs 1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)
  Salt To Taste
  Pepper To Taste
Directions

Cook cabbage in a small amount of salted water until tender, about 5 to 8 minutes.
Pour off excess water and chop finely.
Cook celery, green pepper, and garlic in butter or margarine in a covered saucepan over very low heat until vegetables are tender; add to cabbage.
Stir in half-and-half, Cheddar cheese, and salt and pepper; mix well.
Spoon mixture into a 1 1/2-quart baking dish, cover with buttered bread crumbs, and bake at 300° about 30 minutes.
