French Breakfast Puffs

Ingredients
  Soft shortening 1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs) (Part Butter)
  Flour 1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs), sifted (Use Gold Medal Variety)
  Baking powder 1 1⁄2 Teaspoon (Use Double Action Variety)
  Sugar 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Egg 1
  Salt 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Nutmeg 1⁄4 Teaspoon
Directions

Stir in alternately with 1/2 cup milk.
Fill greased muffin cups 2/3 full.
Bake 20 to 25 minutes, until light golden brown in moderate oven (350°).
Loosen with spatula.
Dip top and sides immediately and very quickly into 6 tablespoons butter (melted), then roll in mixture of 1/2 cup sugar and 1 teaspoon cinnamon
