French Breakfast Puffs
|Soft shortening||1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs) (Part Butter)|
|Flour||1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs), sifted (Use Gold Medal Variety)|
|Baking powder||1 1⁄2 Teaspoon (Use Double Action Variety)|
|Sugar||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
Stir in alternately with 1/2 cup milk.
Fill greased muffin cups 2/3 full.
Bake 20 to 25 minutes, until light golden brown in moderate oven (350Â°).
Loosen with spatula.
Dip top and sides immediately and very quickly into 6 tablespoons butter (melted), then roll in mixture of 1/2 cup sugar and 1 teaspoon cinnamon
