Chicken Liver Pate With Onion
|Sliced onion||8 Ounce|
|Chicken livers/Liver sliced 1/3 inch thick||1 Pound, cut in half|
|Instant chicken broth and seasoning mix||1 Tablespoon (1 Envelope)|
|Poultry seasoning||3⁄4 Teaspoon|
|Leaf lettuce||4 Cup (64 tbs)|
Layer onions slices in a saucepan or non-stick skillet (with cover) and top with washed liver.
Cover and steam until onions are soft and liver is done (but still slightly pink and moist inside), about 15-20 minutes.
Sprinkle broth mix over onions.
Let cool, then transfer liver, onions and liquid in pan to blender container, and puree (or put through fine blade of meat chopper).
Stir in salt, pepper, and poultry seasoning.
Chill and serve cold in lettuce leaf cups.
