Sherry French Dressing

Ingredients
  Garlic 1 Clove (5 gm) (Small Clove)
  White onions 2 Small, finely chopped
  Sugar 1 Teaspoon
  Salt 1 Teaspoon
  Wine vinegar 1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)
  Dry sherry 2 Tablespoon
  Ground black pepper 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Olive oil/Salad oil 3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)
  Lemon 1⁄2 , juiced
Directions

With mortar and pestle or wooden spoon mash garlic, onion, sugar, and salt, blending until pastelike.
Add vinegar, sherry, and pepper.
Beat in 2 tablespoonfuls oil at a time; then beat in lemon juice.
Taste to check seasonings and pour over salad.
