Fried Ribbon Cookies

Fried ribbon cookies are simple and kids like it too. The sugar sprinkled sweet cookies are best to serve at the snack time or for giving it too kids as finger food. Remember to sprinkle the sugar generously to make it tastier.
Ingredients
  Eggs 4
  Sugar 4 Tablespoon
  Salt 3⁄4 Teaspoon
  Butter 4 Tablespoon, melted
  All-purpose flour 2 3⁄4 Cup (44 tbs), sifted
  Anise extract 2 Teaspoon
  Water 2 Teaspoon
  Confectioner' s sugar 1 Tablespoon
  Fat 1 Tablespoon (For Frying)
Directions

MAKING
1)In a bowl, beat eggs until thick and lemon-colored.
2)Slowly add sugar and salt and beat until dissolved.
3)Add butter and half the flour and blend well.
4)Stir in anise extract and water.
5)Fold in remaining flour to make stiff dough. Chill 15 minutes.

FINALIZING
6)Divide the dough into 5 or 6 parts.
7)Roll one part at a time out on a lightly floured board until dough is nearly transparent.
8)Using a pastry wheel cut dough into strips 1 inch wide and 6 inches long.
9)Roll strips very loosely over first two fingers. Slip ribbon of cookie onto tines of a large meat fork.
10)In a pan, heat fat and put cookie, when the dough rises to the surface it will begin to unroll.
11)As soon as it unrolls, twist it back into a roll again with the meat fork.
12)Hold dough loosely against side of pan for a minute or two until the dough sets and brown lightly on both sides.
13)Drain cookies and sprinkle confectioners' sugar.

SERVING
14)Serve the fried ribbon cookies at the snack time.
