|Pan dressed catfish/Other fish||2 Pound|
|Instant mashed potato flakes||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Onion salad dressing mix||1 Ounce|
|Salad oil||150 Milliliter|
Thaw frozen fish.
Season fish with salt and pepper.
Combine egg and 1 tablespoon water.
Combine potato flakes and dressing mix.
Dip fish into egg mixture, then roll in potato mixture; repeat.
Brown fish in hot salad oil on one side for 4 to 5 minutes.
Turn carefully; brown on second side till fish is brown and flakes easily when tested with a fork, 4 to 5 minutes.
Drain on paper toweling.
