Deep-Fried Fish

Ingredients
  Pancake flour 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Fat 1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs) (for deep frying)
  Egg 1
  Lemon lime carbonated drink 1 Bottle (1 l)
  Frozen halibut fillets 1 Pound
Directions

"Mix 1 cup pancake flour and egg; add enough car- bonated drink to make thin batter.
Roll fish in dry pancake flour; let stand for 20 minutes.
Dip into batter.
Heat deep fat to 375 to 400 degrees; cook halibut in fat for 3 to 4 minutes or until brown."
