Sesame Orange Roughy
|Orange roughy fillets/Other fish fillets||1 Pound (3/4 Inch Thick, Fresh / Frozen)|
|Lime juice/Lemon juice||2 Tablespoon|
|Soy sauce||4 Teaspoon|
|Garlic||1 Clove (5 gm), minced|
|Grated fresh ginger/1/8 teaspoon ground ginger||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Toasted sesame oil||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Lime juice/Lemon juice||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Green onion||1 , sliced|
|Sesame seeds||2 Teaspoon, toasted|
Thaw fish, if frozen.
Rinse fish; pat dry with paper towels.
Cut fish into 4 serving-size portions.
Brush both sides of fish with the 2 tablespoons lime or lemon juice.
In a large skillet cook fish in hot margarine or butter over medium heat for 6 to 9 minutes or until fish flakes easily with a fork, turning once.
Transfer fish to dinner plates; cover and keep warm.
Meanwhile, in a small bowl combine water, soy sauce, honey, garlic, ginger, sesame oil, the 1/2 teaspoon juice, and the pepper.
Carefully pour into skillet.
Cook until heated through, scraping up any browned bits on bottom.
Pour over fish.
Sprinkle with green onion and sesame seeds.
