Pan Fried Fish
|Egg||1 , slightly beaten|
|Milk||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|All purpose flour/Unbleached flour / cornmeal||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs) (Pillsbury's)|
|Fish fillets||1 Pound (Fresh / Frozen, Thawed)|
|Oil/Shortening||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
In shallow dish, combine egg and milk; blend well.
Place flour in another shallow dish.
Dip fish in egg mixture; coat with flour.
Heat oil in large skillet over medium-high heat.
Add fish; cook 5 to 7 minutes or until golden brown and fish flakes easily with fork, turning once during cooking.
Salt and pepper to taste, if desired.
