Fish Goa Style
|Pomfret/Any firm white fish||1 Kilogram|
|Black peppercorns||1 Teaspoon|
|Dry red chilies||15|
|Cumin seeds||1 Teaspoon|
|Coriander seeds||2 Tablespoon, soaked for 10 minutes in vinegar|
|Non synthetic vinegar||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Onions||2 Large, chopped|
|Turmeric powder||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Sugar free sweetener tablet||2 , powdered|
Fillet fish or slice through the bone, as preferred.
Wash and drain thoroughly.
Sprinkle with salt and set aside for 15 minutes.
Rub ground spices into fish and leave in a cool place to marinate for 3-4 hours.
Heat oil in a non-stick pan over moderate heat.
Add fish and fry for about 5 minutes, turning gently once only, till cooked through and crisp.
Serve hot with roti.
