Sake Salmon Steaks
|Salmon steaks||4 (1 inch thick)|
|Soy sauce||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Sake||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Mirin/Dry sherry||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Garlic||2 Clove (10 gm), finely chopped|
|Green onion||1 , finely chopped|
|Finely chopped ginger root||1 Tablespoon (fresh)|
|Wasabi powder||1 Tablespoon|
|Brown sugar||1 Teaspoon|
1. In a small bowl, combine soy sauce, sake, mirin, garlic, green onions, ginger, wasabi and sugar. Mix well.
2. Place fish in a shallow baking dish and pour marinade over. Cover and marinate in refrigerator overnight.
3. Preheat grill.
4. Remove fish from marinade, reserving marinade and place on a grill. Grill 8 minutes, turning once.
5. Remove and serve with heated marinade.
