Pan Fried Fish
|Fish fillets||1 Pound (Fresh/Frozen)|
|Egg||1 , beaten|
|Crushed saltine crackers||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)|
|Cooking oil||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
Thaw fish if frozen.
Combine egg and water.
Mix cracker crumbs, salt, and pepper.
Dip fish into egg mixture, then coat with crumbs.
Preheat Meal Browner browning dish at HIGH for 4 minutes.
Pour half the oil into browning dish.
Add half the fillets.
Cook, loosely covered, at HIGH for 2 minutes.
Cook, loosely covered, at HIGH for 2 minutes more,' or till fish flakes easily with a fork.
Remove to platter; keep warm.
Preheat browning dish 1 minute at HIGH.
Add remaining oil.
Add remaining fish and cook as above.
