Ginger Marinated Bluefish
|Grated fresh ginger||3 Tablespoon|
|Low fat yogurt||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)|
|Lemon juice||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Tamari/Soy sauce||2 Teaspoon|
|Ground coriander||1 Teaspoon|
|Ground cumin||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Garlic||4 Clove (20 gm)|
|Bluefish fillet||1 Pound|
|Lemon slices||4 (For Garnish)|
|Italian parsley||2 (For Garnish)|
Place the ginger in a piece of cheesecloth and squeeze all of the liquid out of the ginger into a small bowl.
Add the yogurt, lemon juice, tamari, coriander, and cumin.
Push the garlic through a garlic press into the bowl and stir to combine.
Place about one-third of this mixture in the bottom of a large, shallow glass baking dish.
Place the bluefish in one layer in the dish and spoon the remaining marinade over the fish.
Cover with foil or plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight.
Remove the fish from the marinade and place under a broiler.
Broil for about 4 to 5 minutes or just until the fish begins to flake when tested with a fork.
Carefully turn the fish fillets with a spatula.
Broil the other side for about 4 to 5 minutes or just until the fish is cooked throughout.
Place the fish on a warm serving platter.
Garnish with lemon slices and parsley, if desired.
