Halibut Steaks Poached In Wine
|Halibut steaks||4 , frozen (about 2 pounds, fresh or frozen)|
|Dry white wine||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)|
|Water||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Olive oil||2 Tablespoon|
|Lemon juice||2 Teaspoon|
|Garlic||1 Clove (5 gm), minced|
|Dry mustard||1⁄4 Teaspoon|
1. If fish is frozen, defrost in microwave oven
2. Arrange halibut steaks in an 8-inch square or a 2-quart glass baking dish.
3. Combine white wine, water, olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, dry mustard, marjoram, salt and pepper in a 2-cup glass measuring cup. Drizzle over halibut. Cover with waxed paper.
4. Cook in microwave oven 6 to 8 minutes at High, or until fish flakes easily when tested with a fork.
