Crunchy Top Fish Casserole is served as a main dish recipe worldwide. Crunchy Top Fish Casserole gets its taste from fish mixed in cheese, flavored with seasoning.
  Grated cheddar cheese 1 1⁄2 Ounce
  Tomato ketchup 1 Tablespoon
  Flour topping 1⁄2 Ounce
  Milk 1⁄2 Pint
  Butter/Margarine 2 Ounce
  Bread slices 6 Medium
  Cooked smoked haddock/Other fish 8 Ounce, flaked
  Seasoning To Taste

Melt 1 1/2 oz. butter or margarine in a pan.
Stir in flour and cook slowly, without browning, for 2 minutes.
Remove from heat, gradually add milk, then reheat, stirring, till sauce comes to the boil and thickens.
Simmer 3 minutes, then add fish and ketchup.
Season to taste.
Turn into a greased heatproof dish.
Meanwhile, make topping by melting 2 oz. butter in pan.
Cut bread into cubes and fry in butter.
Top fish mixture with fried bread cubes, and sprinkle with grated cheese.
Brown under the quick grill.
