|Oil||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Cumin seeds||1 Tablespoon|
|Ginger paste||1 Teaspoon|
|Garlic paste||1 Teaspoon|
|Onions||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
|Tomatoes||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Yoghurt||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Garam masala||2 Teaspoon|
|Coriander powder||2 Tablespoon|
|Chili powder||1 Teaspoon|
|Coriander leaves||2 Tablespoon|
Take a heavy based saucepan and heat the oil in it.
Put in the cumin seeds and the bay leaves.
Slowly, as the seeds start to crackle, add the onions and the ginger garlic till it turns brown.
Add the tomatoes and fry till the fat separates.
Then add the yoghurt and blend it well, taking care to see that it does not curdle.
Again, wait till the fat separates and add the salt, turmeric, coriander powder and the garam masala, along with the chilli powder.
Mix the mixture properly.
Now, add the fish on high heat and stir.
Next, add the 1 1/2 cups of water and simmer till the fish is cooked through.
