Ginger-Lime Salmon Steaks
|Butter/Margarine||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Fresh gingerroot||1 , peeled and cut up (About 1 3" X 1.5" Piece)|
|Salmon steaks||10 Ounce (About 1 Inch Thick, Two 4 To 5 Ounce Pieces)|
1. In a food processor fitted with a steel blade, process butter or margarine and gingerroot until smooth and creamy, scraping down side of bowl often.
2. Place salmon steaks in a round, 8-inch baking dish, arranging thicker portions toward outside of dish. Spread each steak with about 1 tablespoon butter or margarine mixture. Top with lime slices. Cover with vented plastic wrap.
3. Microwave at 100% (high) 3 to 4 minutes or until center of fish is beginning to flake when tested with a fork. Give dish a half turn after 2 minutes. Let stand, covered, 5 minutes.
4. Serve with lime wedges, if desired, and additional ginger-butter mixture. Cover and refrigerate any remaining ginger-butter mixture.
