|Flour||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Fine dry bread crumbs||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Vegetable shortening||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
In shallow bowl, combine flour and salt.
In another bowl, combine egg and water.
Dip fish in flour mixture, then in egg mixture, and finally in crumbs.
In skillet, fry fish in hot vegetable shortening on both sides until tender and golden, 20 minutes.
