  Dates 1⁄2 Pound, pitted
  Water 2⁄3 Cup (10.67 tbs)
  Sugar 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Lemon juice 1 Teaspoon

Add water and sugar to dates.
Cook together until thick, stirring well.
Add lemon juice.
Cool before using.
