Napoleon Filling

Ingredients
  Sugar 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Enriched flour 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Cornstarch 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Salt 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Milk 3 Cup (48 tbs)
  Beaten egg yolks 4
  Vanilla 2 Teaspoon
Directions

Combine sugar, flour, cornstarch, and salt.
Gradually stir in milk.
Cook, stirring constantly, till mixture boils and thickens.
Stir a little of hot mixture into egg yolks; return to hot mixture.
Stirring constantly, bring just to boiling.
Cool; add vanilla.
Chill.
Beat with electric or rotary beater till smooth.
