Meat And Nut Filling
|Pine nuts||1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)|
|Onions||2 Medium, finely chopped|
|Meat||500 Gram, coarsely ground or finely chopped (1 Pound)|
|Pepper||1 1⁄4 Teaspoon|
|Mixed spices||1 1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Ground cinnamon||1 1⁄4 Teaspoon|
Heat the ghee in a pan and lightly brown the pine nuts.
Remove and set aside.
Add the meat to the ghee and fry for a few minutes until the raw look disappears.
Before the meat browns, mix in the chopped onions, salt, pepper, mixed spices and cinnamon.
Cover, turn down to medium heat and continue to cook until meat is very tender and the juices are absorbed for approx 20-25 minutes.
Remove from heat and mix in the pine nuts. Makes 2 cups
