Ingredients
  Strawberries 1 Quart
  Sugar 1 Cup (16 tbs)
Directions

Wash and hull strawberries, reserving a few large ones for garnish.
Slice or crush remainder, add sugar, let stand till sugar is dissolved and,just before serving, spread as directed over warm shortcake.
