Ingredients
  Dates 3 Cup (48 tbs), cut up
  Boiling water 1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)
  Brown sugar 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs), firmly packed
  Vanilla 1 Teaspoon
Directions

Combine all ingredients in saucepan.
Cook about 10 minutes until mixture takes on consistency of jam, and cool thoroughly.
