Pear Filling

Ingredients
  Pears 2 Pound
  Lemon juice 1 Tablespoon
  Flour 3 Tablespoon
  Sugar 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Salt 1 Dash
  Cinnamon 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Nutmeg 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Butter 1 Tablespoon
Directions

Peel pears; cut in halves and core.
Arrange in deep pie plate.
Sprinkle with lemon juice.
Mix flour, sugar, salt, cinnamcn and nutmeg together; sprinkle over pears.
Dot with butter.
Roll pastry in a circle to fit over pie plate.
Place over pears; crimp pastry to edge of pie plate.
Slash in several places.
Bake for 30 to 40 minutes.
Serve with cream, if desired.
