Celery Potato Filling
|Celery||1 Cup (16 tbs), chopped|
|Onion||1 Medium, minced|
|Butter||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Bread cubes||30 Ounce (Two 15 Ounce Packages)|
|Eggs||6 , beaten|
|Mashed potatoes||1 Quart|
|Boiling water||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
1) In a skillet, sauté the onion and celery in butter for about 15 minutes.
2) Combine together the bread cubes and the sauted mixture. Add the remaining ingredients and stir well. In case the mixture appears to be too dry, add more milk.
3) Pour the mixture into one large slow cooker or several medium-sized ones. Cook over high heat for 3 hours, stirring up from the bottom after every 60 minutes to ensure that the filling does not stick.
4) Serve or use as preferred.
