Simple Custard Filling
|Cream/Milk||175 Milliliter, boil (1 Cup)|
|Vanilla extract||1 Teaspoon|
|Gelatin||1 Teaspoon, dissolved in 1 tablespoon hot water|
|Hot water||1 Tablespoon|
Blend the flour and sugar in a saucepan.
Gradually pour in the boiling cream or milk, stirring constantly.
Bring back to a boil, stirring, and cook until thick.
Remove the pan from the heat.
Beat the egg yolks with a pinch of salt and 2 to 3 drops of vanilla extract.
Beat in 2 tablespoons of the hot cream mixture then beat it all in.
Return the mixture to the pan and cook over very low heat for 1 minute.
Stir in the gelatin and set aside to cool.
