1. In a heavy bottomed saucepan, combine all ingredients.
2. Place the pan on a medium-low flame and bring to a boil, stirring constantly
3. Reduce the heat and simmer, stirring, until the mixture is thick and syrupy.
4. Use this filling for Christmas cakes, breads or for desserts as required.
