|Dried peaches/Apricots||1⁄2 Pound|
|Sugar||1 1⁄4 Cup (20 tbs)|
|Ground cinnamon||1 Teaspoon|
|Ground nutmeg||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Raisins||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), soaked in warm water|
1 Soak peaches or apricots in hot water to cover until soft, about 30 minutes.
2 Simmer peaches in a small quantity of water over medium high heat until they are very soft. Drain fruit and cool, then mash or puree in an electric blender.
3 Add remaining ingredients and mix well. Use to fill empanadas.
