|Dates||1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs), chopped|
|Water||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)|
|Brown sugar||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Lemon juice||2 Teaspoon|
In a small saucepan combine all ingredients and cover.
Simmer until dates are soft.
Uncover and stir and cook until thick.
Cool before spreading.
If mixture is too thick add a little hot water.
