Quick Vanilla Cream Filling

Ingredients
  Sugar 2⁄3 Cup (10.67 tbs)
  Cornstarch 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Salt 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Milk 3 Cup (48 tbs)
  Egg yolks 4 , slightly beaten
  Margarine/Butter 2 Tablespoon
  Vanilla 4 Teaspoon (1 Tablespoon Plus 1 Teaspoon)
Directions

Mix sugar, cornstarch and salt in 1 1/2-quart saucepan.
Stir in milk gradually.
Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until mixture thickens and boils.
Boil and stir 1 minute.
Stir at least half of the hot mixture gradually into egg yolks.
Blend into hot mixture in saucepan.
Boil and stir 1 minute.
Remove from heat; stir in margarine and vanilla.
Cover and refrigerate until chilled, about 1 hour.
