Chocolate Cream Filling
|Skim milk||3 Cup (48 tbs)|
|Carob powder||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Granulated fructose||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Eggs||3 , beaten|
|Vanilla extract||2 Teaspoon|
Combine milk, carob powder, fructose, cornstarch, and salt in a heavy saucepan.
Stir to dissolve cornstarch.
Cook and stir over medium heat until thick.
Cover, reduce heat, and cook 10 minutes longer.
Stir a small amount of hot mixture into the beaten eggs.
Return egg mixture to saucepan.
Cook and stir for about 5 minutes.
Remove from heat and stir in margarine until melted.
Cover and allow to cool.
Stir in vanilla before using.
