Barbecued Beef And Pork Filling
|Stew beef||1 1⁄2 Pound|
|Pork cubes||1 1⁄2 Pound|
|Green peppers||3 Medium, chopped|
|Onions||2 Large, chopped|
|Canned tomato paste||6 Ounce (1 Can)|
|Water||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Packed brown sugar||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Chili powder||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Cider vinegar||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Dry mustard||1 Teaspoon|
1. In 5-quart Dutch oven, combine all ingredients. Over high heat, heat to boiling. Reduce heat to low; cover and simmer 3 hours, stirring often, until meat falls apart when tested with fork.
2. Remove Dutch oven from heat. Skim fat from meat mixture. With 2 forks, pull meat into shreds. Cover Dutch oven and refrigerate meat mixture.
