Marinated Kipper Fillets With Onion

Ingredients
  Kipper fillets 8 , boned (1 Packet)
  Onion 1 Small, sliced into rings
  Bay leaf 1
For the marinade
  Sugar 1 Teaspoon (Leveled)
  Salt To Taste
  Pepper To Taste (Freshly Milled)
  Wine vinegar 3 Tablespoon
  Olive oil 4 Tablespoon
Directions

GETTING READY
1. Skin fillets.

MAKING
2. In a shallow serving plate, arrange the kipper fillets along with the onion rings and bay leaf.
3. In another bowl, mix the marinade ingredients and taste; adjust flavor to taste.
4. Pour the marinade over the kippers and let it marinate for several hours.

SERVING
5. Serve with slices of buttered brown bread.
