|Ripe figs||7 Pound (Firm Ones)|
|Vinegar||1 Pint (Good Sour Ones)|
|Water||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Whole cloves||1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)|
Put spices, sugar, water, and vinegar in pot.
Drop figs into boiling syrup.
Bring to rolling boil.
