Crunchy food is that which makes a little crackling or crunchy sound when bitten into. Crunchiness is a result of the sensation that is felt when a crunchy food is eaten. Crunchy foods leave a granular feel in the mouth and crunchiness is generally attributed to foods that are firm and at times dry. Some popular crunchy foods are carrots, peanuts, crackers, lettuce, cucumber, cabbage, etc. Certain firm fruits too fall into the category of crunchy foods.
