Peas And Onions With Lemon Butter

Ingredients
  Frozen green peas 20 Ounce (Two Packages Of 10 Ounce Each)
  Sugar 2 Teaspoon
  Whole white onions 16 Ounce, drained
  Butter 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Brown sugar 1 Tablespoon
  Salt 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Pepper 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Lemon juice 1 Tablespoon
Directions

Cook peas, adding sugar to water; drain.
Chop enough onions to yield 1/2 cup; set remaining onions aside.
Lightly brown chopped onions in hot butter in a saucepan.
Blend in a mixture of brown sugar, salt, and pepper, then lemon juice and 1/4cup water; heat thoroughly.
Toss hot peas and whole onions with lemon butter.
