Apple Butter

Ingredients
  Tart cooking apples 3 Pound, sliced (Peeled, Cored)
  Apple juice 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Sugar 2 1⁄4 Cup (36 tbs)
  Ground cinnamon 2 Tablespoon
  Ground nutmeg 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Ground cloves 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Vanilla extract 1 Teaspoon
  Butter 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs) (1/2 Stick)
Directions

MAKING
1. Take a heavy saucepan, add all the ingredients and toss well. Place on medium heat and without covering, stirring now and then, allow the mixture to simmer for 45 minutes so that apples become tender.
2. Transfer to a bowl, mash apples well and transfer back to the pan.
3. Simmer for 45 minutes for the mixture to become smooth.
4. Using a ladle, transfer to sterilized hot jars. Follow manufacturer directions to seal the jar.

SERVING
5. Use as desired.
