Crackers

Ingredients
  All purpose flour 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Baking powder 1 Teaspoon
  Salt 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Butter 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Milk 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
Directions

Stir together thoroughly the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt.
Cut in butter or margarine till the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
Add milk; stir till the mixture forms a ball.
Turn dough out onto lightly floured surface.
Knead dough gently 8 to 10 strokes.
Roll the dough to 14-inch thickness.
Dip a 2 1/2-inch biscuit cutter in all-purpose flour; cut dough straight down.
Place dough rounds on greased baking sheet.
Bake at 400° for 10 minutes.
Split the hot crackers with a knife.
Return to oven and bake at 400° till golden brown, 4 to 6 minutes longer.
