Peanut Butter Crackles
|All purpose flour||1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)|
|Baking soda||1 Teaspoon|
|Margarine||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), softened|
|Creamy peanut butter||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Granulated sugar||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Packed brown sugar||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Granulated sugar||1 Tablespoon|
In small bowl, combine flour, baking soda and salt.
In large bowl, beat margarine and peanut butter until well blended.
Beat in sugars until blended.
Beat in egg and vanilla.
Gradually beat in flour mixture until well mixed.
Shape dough into 1-inch balls.
Roll in granulated sugar.
Place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheets.
Bake in preheated 375°F oven 10 minutes or until lightly browned.
Remove from oven and quickly press chocolate star firmly into top of each cookie (cookie will crack around edge).
Remove to wire racks to cool completely.
