Beets In Butter

Ingredients
  Butter 3 Tablespoon
  Sugar 1⁄4 Teaspoon (Unless Beets Were Just Picked From Your Garden)
  Monosodium glutamate 1 Teaspoon
  Beets 12 Medium, peeled and thinly sliced
  Lettuce leaves 2 Large (Dripping With Water)
  Chopped chives/Parsley 1 Tablespoon
  Salt To Taste
  Pepper To Taste
Directions

Put butter into frying pan; add sugar, mono-sodium glutamate, and beets.
Spread out the lettuce leaves over beets.
Cover and cook over low heat for 25 minutes.
Remove the lettuce leaves; add salt and pepper, sprinkle on the chives or parsley, and mix well.
