Individual suffering from bleeding disorder should abstain from using ginger either as a spice or a supplement because it aggravates the bleeding disorder. This is the reason why a person on blood-thinning medications is asked to avoid ginger in the food.


 


Allergic Reactions Due To Ginger


 


Allergies due to ginger are very rare but these are one of the major side effects of ginger. So, if one notices something serious, it should be taken care of immediately. Some of the allergies associated with ginger are rash, itching, swelling of face, throat or tongue. Sometimes trouble in breathing and dizziness has also been reported in individuals sensitive to ginger. All such situations should be reported to doctor else, it may take serious forms.


 


Ginger Side Effects During Pregnancy


 


Ginger is often used as rescue in vomiting and nausea. But using large amount of ginger during pregnancy might create some problem. Though no medical reports have yet come to prove this negative aspect of ginger, but it’s advisable to consult the doctor before using ginger during pregnancy.


 


Ginger Should Be Avoided By Diabetes Patients


 


A person suffering from diabetes should not take ginger. It should be consulted with the doctor in such situations as ginger has harmful effects on diabetics. Moreover, ginger is also prohibited in individuals who are on medication to control blood sugar level.
