Lemon Lime Meringue Pie

This Lemon Lime Meringue Pie is my family's favorite. Very flavorful and delicious, in this Lemon Lime Meringue Pie recipe I have used lemon-lime carbonated beverage which gives the pie a completely different taste. Give it a try and you will love it too!
Ingredients
  Lemon-lime carbonated beverage 14 Ounce (Two Bottles Of 7 Ounce Each)
  Cornstarch 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Flour 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Salt 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Egg yolks 3
  Sugar 1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)
  Lemon juice 1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)
  Lime juice 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Grated lemon peel 1 Teaspoon
  Butter/Margarine 2 Tablespoon
  9 inch baked pie shell 1
  Meringue 1 Cup (16 tbs)
Directions

Heat lemon-lime carbonated beverage to boiling.
Combine the 3/4 cup sugar, cornstarch, flour, and salt in a saucepan; add the hot beverage slowly, stirring until blended.
Bring to boiling over medium heat, stirring constantly.
Reduce heat; stir and cook 10 minutes.
Beat egg yolks and 1/3 cup sugar together.
Stir about 1/2 cup of hot mixture into the egg yolks.
Then blend into mixture in saucepan.
Add lemon and lime juices and cook over low heat until thickened, stirring constantly.
Remove from heat; stir in lemon peel and butter.
Turn filling into pie shell; cool slightly.
Top with meringue and bake as directed in meringue recipe.
