|Salad oil||1 Tablespoon|
|Onions||2 Medium, thinly sliced|
|Water||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)|
|Dry red wine||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)|
|Caraway seed||1 Teaspoon|
|Marjoram leaves||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Water||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
Prepare Basic Meatballs and set aside.
Heat oil in large skillet.
Add onions; cook and stir until tender.
Add cooked meatballs, 3/4 cup water, the wine, caraway seed, paprika, marjoram leaves and salt; heat to boiling.
Reduce heat; cover and simmer 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Mix 1/4 cup water and the flour; stir into sauce mixture.
Heat to boiling, stirring carefully.
Boil and stir 1 minute.
Especially nice served with boiled potatoes or noodles.
