Finnish Karelian Pot

Finnish Karelian Pot is one of those exquisite meat dishes that has a unique and incomparable taste. I used this brilliant Finnish Karelian Pot recipe to surprise my guests with a yummy dish for the last party and it was an instant success! Try it!
Ingredients
  Lean boneless pork 500 Gram
  Lean boneless beef 500 Gram
  Lean boneless lamb 500 Gram
  Coarse salt 1⁄2 Tablespoon
  Whole peppercorns 1 Teaspoon
  Juniper berries 4
  Water 1 Cup (16 tbs)
Directions

Cut meat into bite-size cubes and combine. Arrange in layers in a deep, round casserole, sprinkling each layer with a little salt. Add peppercorns, juniper berries and water and cover very tightly. (This amount of water seems small, but juices will come from the meat.) Bake in a preheated slow oven 150C (300F) for 4 hours, or in a slow cooker set on low for 6-8 hours. Taste for seasoning, and serve from the pot.
